Boringdon Park Golf Club is home to two challenging courses and is hugely popular with golfers – casual and competitive. It’s also a beautiful wedding venue and its flexible, multiple rooms are in demand for corporate events and family functions.

Everything the Club offers is competitive – Boringdon Park needed a website that marked it out as a destination of choice, as well as ranking reliably in Google for its multiple services.

How we did it

We designed a clean, modern, responsive website for Boringdon Park, focusing on saying more with less on their key entry points and landing pages – using the power of excellent pictures and videos to tell their story alongside powerful customer testimonials and reviews.

Sub pages and expandable sections then provide users with valuable detail when browsing.

The homepage loads with a dynamic aerial video and our aerial photography shot by our in-house CAA-approved drone pilot makes sure the pages have impact and mark the Club out from competitors.

Each page has been carefully optimised for SEO, while our in-house copywriting team has crafted bespoke copy for each page – making sure it both returns well in search as well as being persuasive and aimed and generating enquiries.

The website launch accompanied a fresh Google My Business campaign and review acquisition strategy.

Functionality for easy purchase of Gift Vouchers has been included, as well as easy event ticket sales integration and a golf blog with videos of tips and a flavour of the professional golf lessons.

The Results

The client is delighted with their newly-designed new website – with members and users reporting the user experience was much easier to navigate, with pages visited often (eg tee booking) clearly signposted without dominating for first time users. View the website here

Crucially, three months after launch we have seen significant improvements in search alongside better performance in Google My Business. Boringdon is the top ranked golf club and now ranks significantly higher for weddings, while ranking top for a series of longer tail keywords that were strategically targeted, including searches related to Sunday Lunch.

Customers have been purchasing through the new event ticketing system, which has had several sell out events already.

The client is also utilising our email marketing service as a result of the website redesign, with comprehensive ongoing website management.
