Fun promotional video for corporate charity announcement

Bright Solicitors is a leading legal firm with a track record of supporting local charities. For 2023/4 they are teaming up with Argyle Community Trust, the charitable arm of Plymouth Argyle FC. They wanted a fun video that announced their Charity of the Year that grabbed attention of the city.

Our Lead Videographer Jon Bishop led on this project, producing a two-minutes video with storyboarding and scripting, to ensure an efficient filming day that ran like clockwork and a tight editing turnaround to meet the client’s expectations. Our editing team provided the creative flourishes.

How we did it

We worked with the Bright and Argyle teams on a storyboard involving the team mascot Pilgrim Pete – the concept being that pesky Pilgrim Pete was in the Bright office as an intern for the day causing chaos. We spent a day at the office capturing the shots required – including a creative shot made to look like CCTV footage of Pete stuck in a server room. The team worked brilliantly in front of camera, with everyone briefed on their roles for the day.

The Results

The video was a hit on social media and widely shared both by corporate and mainstream audiences – Bright’s were delighted with the reception and the finished video was played on the big screen inside Argyle’s stadium Home Park before the next home game. Back of the net!
We worked with pbmedia on our Charity of the Year announcement video and couldn’t be happier with the final result. The team understood the brief perfectly and the video was done very professionally. This wasn’t an easy project, as we had to film in a live office within one day. Despite the time constraints and filming challenges, pbmedia ensured the production values were met and each scene was captured correctly. Easy to work with and we would highly recommend.
