New website, video and strategic social media for Chamber of Commerce

Devon & Plymouth Chamber of Commerce supports hundreds of businesses across the county and city.

It needed a new website with CRM integration that would attract new members, tell the story of how it grows businesses and show off its extensive event listings, with booking functionality and interactive elements.

The Chamber also required ongoing support for its digital communications including regular engaging content for its website and a new social media strategy.

How we did it

Working with the Devon & Plymouth Chamber has been an ongoing partnership that has seen us grow their digital presence, improve website’s user experience, develop a video-led social media strategy and provide extensive website support including content creation and on-demand maintenance.

The website has been the cornerstone of the success of our work with the Chamber, transforming it into a truly content-focused operation across multiple sections with a clean, easy to navigate design. Detailed content is displayed with a nested tab system that allows extensive information to be viewed at a glance and easily digested.

The CRM integration means the team can easily manage events and membership, while a separate user journey has been developed for prospective members, complemented with a pop-up strategy that captures leads from the Chamber’s free to access newsletter.

A dedicated Business Support and International Trade sections have also been developed, the latter with a popular regular newsletter dedicated to exporting. Resources features are regular written and uploaded including to the dedicated Net Zero Hub.

The Events section includes an interactive map integrated into the booking system for the flagship annual Business Show where businesses can browse the floor plan of the event and pick their stand, while viewing which stands have been booked by whom.

Our Video Production features heavily in both the website’s pages and the Chamber’s social media, managed by the pbmedia team with a dedicated content manager.

Our Video explains the work of the Chamber while providing easy to digest case studies and testimonials. We also provide professional photography and videography at the Chamber’s events, attended by hundreds of businesses.

Our Social Media strategy has included a campaign-led approach that features the successes of businesses and is heavily people-focused, aiming to tell the story of the benefits of membership through its members successes. It’s included the launch of a dedicated Instagram and TikTok accounts, with rapid growth on core channels Linkedin and Twitter.
